English Explorer is a two-week immersion language program that
- Students will gain confidence in English through interactive lessons, hands-on tasks and creative projects that bring language learning to life.
- From structured grammar and vocabulary lessons to role-playing, debating and collaborative writing, every activity is designed to help you communicate more fluently and effectively.
- Learning isn't limited to the classroom - you'll also have the opportunity to practice your English in real-life situations, such as cultural visits and group challenges that will test your skills in new ways.

“The Shining Moments program provides each student with the opportunity to practice public speaking in a structured environment. By researching, preparing and presenting projects to an audience, students build the confidence to express ideas clearly and develop the ability to speak with authority. This is an excellent opportunity to improve communication skills that are essential for academic studies, professional careers, and life more broadly.
At the end of the Future Cities Festival, English explorers will take the stage and become the “face” of the imaginary city. The students will present live newscasts, interviews and reports in English. This showcase will give them the opportunity to use English in a public setting and demonstrate what they have learned in the program. The performances are varied, but all emphasize clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt language to different audiences.

Write and produce a newscast program for the year 2050 . Students work in groups, prepare scripts, rehearse the broadcasting process, and report on events taking place in the city of the future. Anchors, reporters and interviewees will be involved in creating a program that is both relevant and realistic.

Create a lively feature story that explores everyday life in a fictional city. The story can focus on a scientific breakthrough, an art exhibit, or a business launch. Students use descriptive language and narrative techniques to capture details and atmosphere, then present it in a format that reports directly to the citizens of 2050.

“Future Global Leaders is a two-week program designed to help students understand power, politics and influence in an international context. At the same time, you will develop practical skills in debating, negotiating and decision-making so that you can articulate ideas clearly and lead with confidence. The course focuses not only on theory, but also provides hands-on opportunities for you to test ideas, work with others, and begin to shape the perspectives of future leaders.

Mastering everyday communication skills
“Future Global Leaders is a two-week program for students aged 11 to 16 years old designed to help them explore politics, international relations and leadership. It is an opportunity for students to step into the world of decision-making, where individual and institutional choices shape community, national and global affairs.
This course blends academic research with practical experience. You will gain insights into how governments operate, how policies are formulated, and how international organizations respond to conflict and cooperation. Case studies and simulation exercises will provide you with opportunities to put these concepts into practice, such as team negotiation, debating key issues or presenting your own proposals.

The students will present live newscasts, interviews and reports in English. This showcase will give them the opportunity to use English in a public setting and demonstrate what they have learned in the program. The performances are varied, but all emphasize clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt language to different audiences.
Week 1 of the “Moments to Shine” program
Form a committee to decide how resources will be allocated in the city in the future. The students represent different groups - energy suppliers, citizens, science sections or artists. And Jo had to negotiate to develop a fair text. The project focuses on showing the importance of conflict, compromise, and leadership in reaching a workable solution.
Week 2 of the “Moments to Shine” program
Organize a mock international summit. Students take on the role of representatives of different countries or organizations, each representing different priorities. Their task is to debate global issues such as climate, immigration or trade and ultimately sign a treaty or agreement. The program aims to show how international relations can affect the future of any city and how diplomacy relies on communication and cooperation.

Evening activities: there are exciting events every night, such as sports competitions, creative challenges, quiz nights, discos and movies, as well as water play on campus, with more than a dozen indoor and outdoor activities to experience

3 outings a fortnight to explore famous surrounding cities and attractions. E.g. Bath, Portsmouth, London and theme parks, zoos, beaches, London Eye etc.

Students can incorporate a dedicated sports academy into their program, which will allow them to spend more time with professional coaches, have the opportunity to build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy more time doing the activities they love.
